Color Palette Usage

If anyone ever demands that you give them credit for using colors, tell them to kiss your ass!

To the editors/artists who’s heads are so far up their asses they think they own colors:

‘presentation’ of the colors still does not mean the colors themselves, it means how you decide to make your palette look, not what colors you use within it.

There is absolutely no logical argument for graal editors to be so selfish and narcissistic about colors, and attacking the people who use them just because they choose not to say where they may have found the color combo. Everyone has the right to use any color + combo that they want to without having to say where they got it from. Deal with it.

3 Reasons Why…

Spending USD on graal uploads is a huge waste of your money:

(you can still support an artist without wasting your money on graal uploads, try buying digital art or player portraits instead) 😊

1. iFiling | we all know ifiling exists and always will because devs choose to completely neglect the issue.

2. Copying | there are a lot of people who pass off stolen art as their own work, so you need to know your artist before ever contacting them for requests. Example: If they choose to use someone’s OC design from instagram but do not have permission from the artist who created it, they can get themselves and graal into huge trouble for copyright, for legitimately stealing someone else’s art, and/or recreating it without the proper permissions of usage from the artist. Graal becomes liable for profiting off stolen art and will likely remove or change it, and[ you become banned from being able to share art on graal ever again.

3. Overcharging: most people charging USD for graal uploads, are hella over pricing their files. Yes, scratch art can take up a decent amount of time, however; you are paying someone $20 USD to make 4 frames, then copying and pasting them along the rest of the template, then making an animation they have likely made before and know how to do easily. People who say this is not how you make uploads are likely very amateur because any good and proper artist knows how to get their work done efficiently, quickly, and utilizing the ‘shortcuts’. Remember that editors/artists will always do their work the easiest and fastest ways they know how to.

Great Apps For Your Art

Pixel Studio | free app, available on all platforms (including pc + mac) PS has the ability to create gifs within the app itself, and tons of super useful tools you can use. Very versatile for graal art.

Piskel | free app, available on pc + mac This is a free-to-use app for pixel art animating. You can download it on desktop. (never used this myself tbh, idk what to say abt it)

Procreate | $9.99 on the app store, available for iPad users PC is an amazing app to use for all types of art. Add/upload your own pen/brush styles, use the time lapse feature to watch a playback of your art being created (useful af when graal staff want to constantly claim people steal gfx), and much more!

Aseprite | $19.99 on the website, available for pc + mac One of the best pixel art apps outs there. This one is amazing for creating unique animations, and has tons of tools, brushes, modes + so much more to make your art easier.

Don’t use Isopix or Medibang, both of them suck booty cheeks and are very limited for what you can do with your art. Use 1 app that can do it all rather than split the duties between multiple apps because of limitation (such as not being able to make gifs on the app, or too many ads, ect)
